Who Is Calvin

Welcome to me, a little insight into my journey . I like most people I had a dream, a longing to always live abroad where we had warmer climates and a slower pace of life. In 1996 circumstances in my life changed and I decided to take up my dream. My parents at the time where living here in a lovely village environment in Tor, just outside Loule. I decided to visit them and to start looking for my dream home in the sun. Before I knew, things were happening, we were driving off all over the Algarve, up dirt tracks, over mountains and visiting wonderful villages, full of happiness and hope, feeling welcome by the great Portuguese community. My heart started turning and comparing everywhere we visited back to Sao Bras De Alportel. This was to become my home and still is today nearly 30 years later, the start of my Algarve dream had begun. I bought a little village house adjoining a wonderful Portuguese farming couple, who became my protectors and practically my grandparents, to this day they are still there and holding very special memories. I spent the best part of 5 years renovating the property to become my home, I also started working in Tourism as a holiday rep with an amazing UK family company, this became part of my life with wonderful people continuing to learning more of the Algarve and the resorts.

In 2004 I left behind the holiday industry and moved into Real Estate by shear chance, this was an exciting and challenging time, my experience from my past helped tremendously as I really knew life across the Algarve from living in so many resorts over the years. I loved daily conversations with clients searching for the same dream of starting a new adventure of living abroad,  I could connect with the excitement, the concerns and worries and my life as a real estate agent really took off.

In 2016 I took the plunge to open my own personal licenced real estate agency office, offering a gentler approach to real estate, a caring and listening person wanting to help and guide and to share my life experiences with others. This set us apart from many traditional agencies. Things were exciting and fun, driving around the Algarve with clients pursuing their dreams, the adventures of eating in local restaurants and comparing the difference in area to area until my clients found their dream fulfilled.

Many of my clients are friends, part of a big family and my business has grown over the years but still maintaining a happy inviting environment and this has been even more evidence in the opening and upgrading of our wonderful new office in Sao Bras. Based on the thriving square of Largo de Sebastiao with local cafes, restaurants and wine bar. We offer an open inviting approach, with a happy face to invite you inside to sit down, enjoy a freshly ground coffee or and English cup of tea. Ready to listen and help you enjoy your dream.
